Mi papá lleva un par de años viviendo en Viña del Mar, en realidad está en un departamento que queda entre Reñaca y Concón que tiene una vista alucinante. Me hice el tiempo para salir de Santiago y lo fui a ver. Anduve buscando inspiración en Valparaíso y hablando con distintos artistas locales... Me di cuenta que en realidad no es necesario ir muy lejos para viajar. Puedes viajar hasta por tu ciudad, por tu barrio, por tu cuadra. La cosa es tomárselo todo con los ojos del viajero, como si uno lo hubiese visto por primera vez. Volver a asombrarse. Cuando volví al departamento miré hacia afuera e ilustré un pez, inspirado en la hermosa vista de Viña del Mar y Valparaíso.
My dad has been living in Viña del Mar for a couple of years. He actually lives in an apartment that is located between Reñaca and Concón, which has the most amazing sea view. I made the time to get out of Santiago and go see him. Looking for inspiration around Valparaíso and talking to different local artists I realized that you don't really need to go too far to travel. You can travel around your city, your neighborhood and even your block. The trick is to look around with the eyes of a traveler, as if it was the first time... to be amazed again. When I came back to the apartment I looked out and illustrated this fish, inspired in the beautiful views of Viña del Mar and Valparaíso.
