Hola! Quería compartir con ustedes este registro artístico que hice de mi viaje desde Bocas del Toro en Panamá hasta Puerto Viejo en Costa Rica por tierra y mar. El ambiente y la energía que hay en el aire en Bocas del Toro es vitalizante. Explorar las islas de Bocas, Zapatilla y Bastimentos fue una experiencia muy alegre. La primera ilustración que hice fue para retratar el hermoso recorrido por el mar desde la isla principal de Bocas hasta Cayos Zapatilla.
Hi! Just wanted to share with you this artistic record I made of my trip from Bocas del Toro in Panama to Puerto Viejo in Costa Rica by land and sea. The energy in Bocas is vitalizing and exploring the islands of Bocas, Zapatillas and Bastimentos was a happy experience. The first illustration I made was to portray the beautiful journey by sea from the main island in Bocas to Cayos Zapatilla.
La segunda ilustración que hice representa mi experiencia y lo que ví durante el tiempo que estuve quedándome en Palmar Beach Lodge ubicado en la Playa Rana Roja de la Isla Bastimentos. Este es uno de los lugares en los que más me he sentido en contacto con la naturaleza y volvería a ir mil veces más. Había solo un Restobar en toda el área y me pidieron que los ayudara a embellecer su pizarra de actividades así que lo hice feliz.
The second illustration I made represents my experience and what I saw during the time I spent staying at Palmar Beach Lodge located at Red Frog Beach in Bastimentos Island. This is one of the places where I have felt most connected to nature... I would go back anytime. There was just one Restobar in the area and they asked me to help beautify their activity blackboard, which I did gladly.
La tercera ilustración que hice muestra mi viaje desde Bocas a Puerto Viejo en Costa Rica por tierra y mar, también representa los paisajes que vi recorriendo Puerto Viejo en bicicleta. Al igual que en Bocas del Toro, aquí se puede ver una lateralidad en los paisajes que está presente en estas tres ilustraciones. Pareciera ser que estas localidades funcionan al nivel del mar, lo que genera este efecto visual plano y largo que llena el espíritu de calma e inmensidad centroamericana.
The third illustration I made shows my journey from Bocas to Puerto Viejo in Costa Rica by land and sea, it also represents the views I saw cycling around Puerto Viejo. Just like in Bocas del Toro, here we can appreciate laterality in the landscapes. It seems that these localities come to life at sea level, which generates this horizontal visual effect that fills the spirit with peace and Central American immensity.
