Hola gente! Quería mostrarles este collage de gran formato que hice con restos de papeles que he acumulado a través de los años. Para los que son artistas, saben que siempre nos quedan estos pedacitos cuando cortamos bordes de papeles o usamos un pedazo para probar paletas de colores. Estos retazos son de muy buena calidad, y como buena nieta de abuela polaca aquí nada se pierde! Decidí que esta era la perfecta oportunidad para hacer un collage gigante. Lo primero que hice fue intervenir los papeles libremente utilizando técnicas mixtas... en esta parte me dejé llevar completamente y permití que mi imaginación fluyera. Luego fui montando los pedacitos y pegándolos uno al lado del otro en un pedazo de cartón gigante que tenía por ahí y listo! Quedé fascinada con el resultado y todavía estoy pensando cuál sería la mejor manera de enmarcarlo para que sobresalga full en cualquier espacio.
Esta obra collage la titulé 10 años porque la hice con restos de papeles acumulados a lo largo de 10 años de práctica artística.
Hi people! I wanted to show you this collage I made using leftover pieces of paper I had accumulated over the years. For most artists out there, it's very common to be left with these pieces of paper when we cut edges or use some to test color pallets. These papers are very good quality and being the granddaughter of a Polish grandmother I always go with the "nothing goes to waste" policy. So I decided this was the perfect opportunity to make a huge collage. The first thing I did was paint the little pieces freely using different techniques, here I let go completely and permitted my imagination to flow. Then I created a design pasting the papers next to each other on a big cardboard plate I had. I was fascinated by the result and I'm still thinking about the best way to frame it so that it has even more of a wow factor once it's on the wall.
I titled it 10 años because it was made using leftover pieces of paper accumulated over 10 years of artistic practice.
